Hello, as you may have guessed my name is Scott McLay, or MC for short and I have been around the digital world for the best part of 14 years (yes I started young). After serving the first 3 years of my digital life as a developer (C# and PHP) I decided to place more focus on developing my SEO skills – something I though t I was already good at until the Florida update hit in 2003 – this destroyed my network of websites at the time.

As you may of guessed by the word network above, I have dabbled in Blackhat SEO in the past, usually restricting these practices to tests more recently to gain better understanding into the weaknesses of current search algorithms. Over the last 7 years I have been working for Scottish agencies (Dmarkable, Caliber Interactive and Equator) helping them to create bespoke SEO strategies for blue-chip clients.

These days my role mainly consists of staff training, R&D and data analysis, if you would like to know more feel free to contact me.
